Safety & Policies
-
Our Commitment to Player Safety
At Pickle Match Club, safety, fairness, and community respect come first.
We operate all events and programs with structured rules, clear expectations, and liability coverage to ensure every participant can play confidently. We follow City of Los Angeles Recreation & Parks guidelines and maintain a commitment to professionalism in every event we host — from competitive tournaments to open play sessions.
-
Participant Waiver
All participants must complete a digital waiver once per season before joining any Pickle Match Club event.
By signing, you acknowledge and agree to:
Assume the inherent risks of pickleball, including collisions, trips, and heat-related illness.
Release Pickle Match Club, its organizers, and affiliates from liability for injuries or loss incurred during participation.
Grant permission for event photos or videos to be used for promotional purposes.
-
Code of Conduct
We are building a culture where competition and respect coexist.
All members and guests are expected to:
Treat every player, volunteer, and spectator with respect.
Avoid harassment, discrimination, or unsportsmanlike behavior.
Play safely — no reckless swings, paddle throws, or aggressive contact.
Respect time limits and court rotations so everyone has a chance to play.
Violations may result in warnings, suspension from events, or removal from the club roster.
-
Weather & Refund Policy
We play outdoors — and sometimes LA weather has its own plans.
If events are canceled due to rain, flooding, or unsafe heat, players will automatically receive credit toward a future event.
Once registered, no refunds are issued unless Pickle Match Club cancels the event entirely.
Credits can be applied to any future program or event within 90 days.
-
Emergency Preparedness
Our team ensures:
Access to first aid kits and hydration stations at every organized event.
Immediate contact with on-site facility staff or emergency services if needed.
Shaded rest areas and water breaks for heat protection.
Players are encouraged to bring their own water, wear sunscreen, and notify staff of any medical conditions prior to play.
-
Inclusivity & Accessibility
Pickle Match Club welcomes players of all backgrounds and abilities.
We strive to make our events accessible, safe, and enjoyable for everyone — including adaptive players and new participants who may be learning the game for the first time. -
