Safety and policies
Safety, fairness and respect come first. Every event runs on structured rules, clear expectations and liability coverage, so you can play with confidence.
Our commitment to player safety
Pickle Match Club™ follows City of Los Angeles Recreation and Parks guidelines at public facilities and holds the same standard at every private venue we use, from competitive tournaments to open play.
Participant waiver
Every participant completes a digital waiver once per season before joining any event. By signing you agree to:
- Assume the inherent risks of pickleball, including collisions, trips and heat-related illness.
- Release Pickle Match Club, its organizers and affiliates from liability for injury or loss incurred during participation.
- Allow event photos and video to be used for promotional purposes.
Code of conduct
Competition and respect coexist here. Members and guests are expected to:
- Treat every player, volunteer and spectator with respect.
- Avoid harassment, discrimination and unsportsmanlike behavior.
- Play safely. No reckless swings, paddle throws or aggressive contact.
- Respect time limits and court rotations so everyone gets on court.
Violations can lead to a warning, suspension from events or removal from the club roster.
Weather and refunds
- If an event is canceled for rain, flooding or unsafe heat, players automatically receive credit toward a future event.
- Once you are registered there are no refunds unless Pickle Match Club cancels the event entirely.
- Credits can be applied to any future program or event within 90 days.
Emergency preparedness
- First aid kits and hydration stations at every organized event.
- Immediate contact with on-site facility staff or emergency services when needed.
- Shaded rest areas and scheduled water breaks in heat.
Bring your own water, wear sunscreen and tell a host about any medical condition before you play.
Inclusivity and accessibility
Players of all backgrounds and abilities are welcome, including adaptive players and anyone picking up a paddle for the first time. Tell us what you need and we will make the night work.
