The scoring

How the standings work

Points come from where you finish, not how many games you win. 10 for 1st, then 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Everyone who plays earns at least one point.

Finishing places rather than wins, because the formats aren’t comparable. A ladder is eight rounds with rotating partners, a Deuce night is seven rounds with a fixed partner plus a bracket, singles is five matches. Six wins means something different in each one. Where you finished against the field you faced means the same thing every time.

Points add up all month, then the season resets on the 1st. Every night you play adds to your total, and one rough night costs you very little. The gap between 4th and 8th is four points.

Win rate and point difference are shown, but they don’t set your rank. They only break ties. If win rate ranked you, the smart move would be picking the easiest night on the calendar, and if point difference ranked you it would be running up the score. Neither is a game we want to play.

Playoff matches don’t count toward your record or point difference, because only four teams get to play them. The bracket sets the finishing order, and your record stays a clean read on the round robin everyone played.

A genuine tie shares a rank. Level on everything means level, and we won’t invent a result to separate you.

Two 4th places are worth one win. Play often, finish well.
